TINO RANGATIRATANGA EMBROIDERY CORD BUCKET HAT
Tēnā koutou katoa,
It is with great honor to announce that the beautiful Whaea Linda Munn has given her blessing for KRS to create a Glow in the dark version of Te Kara Māori - known as the Tino Rangatiratanga haki.
(The white koru will glow at night)
We want to pay homage to the late Whaea Hiraina Marsden, Whaea Jan Smith and Whaea Linda Munn for creating this symbolic tohu to wear with absolute pride! #ManaMāoriMotuhake
Every single purchase made KRS Apparel will donate a small koha to the Tauranga Womans Refuge as a give back. Whaea Linda did not want any koha at all but to koha back to a special charity. Each tee is screen printed with 4 x screens and a 4 x colour print on an AS Colour Staple tee.
Brief explanation of Te Kara Māori: Ko te māmangu, koia te Korekore, te aronga torohū Black represents Te Korekore - the realm of potential Being.
Ko te mā, koia te Ao Marama, he ōkiko, he pokekore, whakamaiangi ana. White represents Te Ao Marama, - the realm of Being and Light.
